Rod recently attended the RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) gathering as a volunteer and had a short and refreshing report on his experience.

act. The aims of RYLA are to demonstrate Rotary's respect and concern for youth, provide an effective training experience for selected youth and potential leaders, encourage leadership of youth by youth, and recognize publicly young people who are rendering service to their communities. RYLA, hosted in Prescott, Arizona this year, was attended by over 200 exemplary young men and women.

We have had many reports over the years of the experiences of student attendees and Rod was happy to report that all of the reports were true and accurate. He said that the quality of the programs was exceptional and that the visible growth in the youth participants was awesome. He was amazed to see how the activities helped the participants learn, take on challenges, and build team dynamics.

Rod also pointed out that the experience as a volunteer was extremely rewarding and challenged more Kingman Rotarians to participate in a volunteer capacity next year. Thank you so much for lending a hand to the RYLA event this year and thank you for your report back. Next year we will send along more accompaniment!
