Everyone knows that Rotary is constantly fostering efforts to improve our global and local communities. Many Rotarian activities involve making hands-on changes such as in the case of the Wheel Chair Project or the India Water Well projects and of course the Polio Eradication projects. Did you know, though, that Rotary also offers financial assistance to certain individuals pursuing vocational studies?

The Rotary Vocational Fund of Arizona is a non-profit organization under IRS Code 501(c)(3) whose purpose is to assist those people who qualify under Arizona law to obtain financial assistance to further their vocational studies.

The Fund uses donations made under an Arizona tax credit program to meet this objective. Any person who files an Arizona tax return, either singly or jointly, and who meets a few other criteria, can donate to the Fund and receive offsetting tax benefits.

If you know someone who you believe qualifies for assistance from the Rotary Vocational Fund of Arizona, please take a minute to review some of the requirements at http://www.trvfa.org/.
